The initiative "Denmark tests eyesight" is a collaboration between ophthalmologists, opticians and other organizations and companies with the common goal of preserving the eyesight of Danes. The Danish Eye Association is behind the development and operation of this service.

What can you use the test for?

Many of our customers who take the test find that their current glasses work fine and they do not need a new vision test. If this is also the case for you, you can contact the optician who made the glasses and ask to be sent an email with your vision data. The optician has an obligation to do this. We at glassify can then use your vision data to manufacture new lenses in a new frame. If you want new lenses in the frame that you used in the test, you can simply send us the frame and we will scan the lenses and copy the strengths into the new lenses that we manufacture.

• This version of the test is only available to residents of Denmark and can be taken by people aged 15 and over. Children aged 12-15 should take the test under adult supervision, while children under 12 should be tested by an optician. Children under 10 should always consult an eye doctor before getting glasses.

Since we are exclusively online and do not have a physical store, you will need to have your vision tested by an optician. You can typically book an appointment online with optician chains or come to the store. Offers for free vision tests are widespread, and you are not obligated to buy your new glasses from the same optician where you get a free vision test. You have the right to have your vision data provided, as it is your personal health data. However, the optician may charge a fee for the vision test.

You can easily order new lenses before you have had your vision test and send us the results later. We will only start manufacturing your new lenses once we have received your vision data.
